With over 100 years of combined experience, Legacy Effects partners Alan Scott, John Rosengrant, Shane Mahan, and Lindsay Macgowan continue to respond to both the need and the desire for live-action effects in modern-day films, commercials and television. The work that comes out of the state-of-the art facility in San Fernando is at the cutting edge of the industry. As former, longtime colleagues of Stan Winston, the owners of Legacy Effects remain true to their roots by aiming to consistently provide creativity, originality and attention to detail in all of their work.

No project is too small or too large for Legacy, and we offer a wide array of talents and services, from imaginative concept design to the creation of robotic, creature, and special makeup effects. Since opening its doors in 2008, Legacy has worked on major blockbuster special effect driven films and smaller independent films, both domestic and foreign. Whatever the budget, we bring the same passion and enthusiasm to each director’s dream.

Legacy’s work is well represented on the small screen as well in commercial, video and television work. More than 350 commercials to date showcase the spectrum of effects work Legacy creates, from simple props to complex animatronic characters. Super Bowl commercials, almost as highly regarded as the games themselves, have at times included as many as 5 memorable spots where Legacy provided the effects.
